Is it free?
Yes — Clany is free with some limits (described inside the app). If you need full access to everything Clany can do, there is a premium plan.
Does it work if my partner doesn't install it?
Yes. Clany is fully useful for a single person: it organises your schedule, your kids' events, your reminders. It is designed to coordinate several members, but works perfectly solo. And with Clany Connect you can link your clan with the grandparents or any other family, even if your partner doesn't use it.
Can I include kids or older relatives without a phone?
Yes. You can create profiles for clan members who don't need to have the app themselves. Kids, older relatives, anyone in the family you want to coordinate — they all have a place.
What happens with my data? Who can see it?
Your data is yours and only shared within your clan. We store it on servers in the European Union (France), encrypted at rest and in transit, under the GDPR framework. We don't sell data to third parties or use it for ad profiling outside the app.
Can I connect my Google or Apple calendar?
Yes. You can import events from your phone's calendar (Google or Apple) directly into Clany.
On how many devices can I use it?
No limit. Use it on every device where you sign in with your account.
What's the difference vs a WhatsApp group or a shared calendar?
WhatsApp is for talking, the calendar for noting things down. Clany is so the organisation lives outside one person's head: every member has a profile, tasks are shared automatically, notifications reach whoever they should. No forwarding, no reminding, no group full of lost notes.
Do Missions force me into a rigid system?
No. Missions adapt to your rhythm: daily, every two days, weekly… or the ones you create. If you don't want to use them, nothing happens — Clany works just as well with calendars and events. Missions are a tool, not an obligation.
